In the “Getting Started” tutorial we just typed (or copied and pasted) straight text without any formatting. Now let’s illustrate how to do bold and italics and to create links. You start by selecting some text in the editor (press your mouse button and slide over the text you want to format). That will bring up a simple toolbar.

Use the B for bold, the slash / for italics, and the link symbol (as in a chain) for a link. The first two are trivial: just click on it and you are done.
Link
A common way to add a link is to navigate in the browser to a page you want to link to. Copy the link. Then select the text as before to bring up the formatting toolbar and select the link symbol. That will bring up a box in which you can type the link, or normally paste the link that you copied.

Preview
At this point if you are confident you could publish or update your post. But normally it will be better to first preview it. Do this by clicking the rectangle symbol to the left of the Publish or Update button.

You can see how it will look on a desktop, tablet or mobile device. The default is desktop. Click on “Preview in new tab”.

See how it looks, and test the links to make sure they work. If desired, you can also see how it will look on Tablet or Mobile. If you want to make some changes, go back to the tab where you are editing. Keep on generating a preview until you are satisfied. Then Publish or Update.
